When installing certain frameworks – such as Joomla! or Open-Realty – to your GoDaddy-hosted website, you need to turn off Magic Quotes and/or Display Errors. Here’s a quick, step-by-step guide showing how to do it. First, if you have php5.ini in the root directory (/) of your site, download it to your computer & open it. If it doesn’t exist, create it. Add to it one or both of the following lines, as needed:
magic_quotes_gpc = Off; display_errors = Off;
Upload it to the root directory of your site, log in to your Hosting Control Panel, select your Hosting account, click System Processes in the Stats & Monitors section, click End Web and click OK.
